Toy Story 4
Review
Storyline:
The beginning of the movie finds us with all of our favorite toys in Bonnie's room. It's play time and as Bonnie goes through her toys trying to decide just which ones that she needs for the scene she has cooking in her head she leave Woody in the closet. Woody pretends like it doesn't bother him even though we learn that he hasn't been played with for three days that week.
Bonnie is interrupted in her playing as her parents tell her that it's time to go to kindergarten. She asks if she can bring a toy and her parents say "No." Woody knows how hard is can be to be alone and decides to sneak into her backpack and go with her.
Bonnie is having a hard time in Kindergarten. Nobody wants to sit at her table and one boy even takes all of the tools that they need for their art project so that she can't even make anything. When she's not looking Woody sneaks out of her backpack and is able to find her different things so that she can participate too. And thus Forky is born!

Forky is a Spork, but the second that Bonnie placed her name on his "sticks" he became a toy something that he finds hard to understand. Bonnie's family leaves on a roadtrip and she brings all of her toys with her and Forky who is the most important toy to her now!
Woody has been keeping a sharp eye on Forky since he was created which is particularly hard thanks to the fact that Fork is convinced he is trash and he belongs in the trash. One of his attempts to be trash again he jumps out the window and Woody soon follows. He finds Forky and together they start walking the way that the family had gone as they walk they wander through a town where Woody sees something that looks familiar. It's Bo Peep's Lamp and it's inside an antique store.
Woody and Forky go in to investigate and end up meeting Gabby Gabby who comes to find out has the same kind of voice box as Woody and came out of the box damaged so her voice box doesn't work. She wants Woody's voice box. Woody escapes by being taken outside by a child to play at the playground. While outside and trying to get back to Forky Woody runs into Bo who is now a lost toy.
Woody, Bo, and friend Officer Giggle McDimples form a plan to get back to the antique store. Meanwhile, back in the RV with Bonnie and the rest of the toys. Buzz is trying to figure out what Woody would do by listening to his inner voice. Buzz ends up also jumping out of the window and ends up in the Carnival close to Woody. He there meets Ducky and Bunny. The three of them escape the Carnival games and find Woody and Bo.
Together all of our heroes come up with a plan to get Forky back. They are now also accompanied by the toy of a Canadian Stun Double Duke Caboom. They try to get Forky back and just barely miss. During their latest attempt a lot of them were hurt or almost hurt so when Woody says that they have to try again they are all reluctant. Bo leads the rest of them away and Woody heads back into the antique shop.
He's ambushed by Gabby Gabby and her minions and this time he doesn't escape. Gabby Gabby explains to Woody why she wants his voice box so much and because it's for the love of a child Woody agrees. When he next opens his eyes it's to see that he is having his voice box removed. Now that Gabby Gabby has what she wants she let's them go.
Bonnie in her travels has left her backpack at the antique store. Buzz reminds her that she left it. Woody and Forky are hiding in the backpack as she comes back to get it. As they are leaving the store Woody witnesses as Harmony (the little girl that Gabby Gabby always wanted to be her human) completely rejects Gabby Gabby. Woody won't accept that so he sends Forky back alone with instructions to tell Buzz to have them meet him at the Carnivals Carousel.
Woody comforts Gabby Gabby and offers to her that she could become one of Bonnie's toys. Bo and the rest of their new friends return to help them get out of the antique store. They are almost to the Carousel when Gabby Gabby sees a little girl at the Carnival who is lost and decides that she wants to help her. That little girl accepts Gabby Gabby as she is and is comforted through her new toy.
Back in the RV the toys have taken over. Well as much as they can. Trixie is impersonating the GPS telling Bonnie's dad where to turn. The rest of the toys take control of the controls.
Finally the RV is next to the Carousel and everybody is saying their good byes to Bo. Woody is feeling so torn about leaving her. Buzz tells him that Bonnie will be just fine without him and that they'll take care of her. And with that Woody runs back to Bo and stays there as a lost toy.

Woody:
The Cowboy that we all grew up with has finally figured out where he belongs and strangely enough it's as a lost toy! I felt bad for Woody for most of the movie. He was trying so hard to remain positive but really he's struggling. He's not number one anymore in fact he's not even really being played with anymore. He's trying hard to find his purpose in life and he thinks that that's helping Bonnie to be happy. But in the end he has to realize that his happiness is also important.
Buzz:
To Infinity and Your Mom... you know what I mean. Buzz wasn't that big a part of the story as I wished that he would have been. He had to learn how to survive on his own and listen to the voice within. Yes his voice within was just the prerecorded recordings coming out of his buttons, but they for the most part were always right.
Forky:
Forky is a Spork that has to come to the realization that he is worth more than just a piece of garbage. He meant something a whole lot more to a little child. He became a toy and a friend.
Everyone Else:
Everyone else were coming to their own conclusion of how to live their own lives. Bo was proud of who she was and didn't need anybody to tell her what she should or should not be. Bunny and Ducky were just funny and trying to find love. Oh wait I forgot the one other character who captured my heart!!
"Yes, I Canada!!!"
I mean Canada captured my heart over three years ago, but this man with his fear that he overcomes and his awesome Canadian catchphrases it was just too much for my little heart!
My Opinion:
I am still trying to figure out if this movie was really needed. I loved the storyline. I found myself laughing out loud many more times that I had originally expected. There were a lot of great lessons to learn. I loved all of the new characters they all made me laugh. And I loved the lessons that we as the general viewers could learn with the characters.
But I'm still trying to figure out if it was really needed. I mean I loved the way that Toy Story 3 ended. You know with the whole theater in tears? So did we really need to go past that and get this story? I'm just not sure.
What Do You Think?:
Do you think that this was the perfect ending because really the series wasn't about Andy but it was about Woody so we needed to know what happened to him in his life? Or do you believe that Toy Story 4 just really did not need to happen and it was terrible? Or do you believe that Toy Story 4 was good but just not needed after number 3?
Let me know. Also let me know what else you would like to hear about regarding all things Disney. And as always have a magical day.
The movie was good. I did not think they needed to make #4 because #3 tied it all together for me. Just my humble opinion.
